First real physical action on the site

Site Clearance (Day 1) - An exciting landmark day, as the first physical action starts on-site to clear the overgrown greenery.

In order for the ground levels to be surveyed and to dig holes for assessing the soil conditions (to make sure the right foundations have been designed), the clearance of the whole site started today.
This will take 2-3 days to complete, so I’m making sure to get plenty of photos and video clips.

The mini-digger was off-loaded from the lorry this morning and trundled onto the site. I was excited and pleased, as well as nervous and worried at the same time. Not only does this mark some very real progress in the project, but I was also worried about any other comments from neighbours - especially any that I haven’t met yet.
